Korean Sticky Chicken

Quick and delicious korean sticky sesame chicken


  • 2 ½ lbs chicken thighs, sliced into large chunks
  • 1/3 c gochugaru
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1/3 c honey
  • ½ c soy sauce
  • ¼ c rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped


  1. coat chicken with gochugaru, tenderize and/or let marinate

  2. in a large pan over medium high heat, add oil and cook chicken for four minutes on each side

  3. set chicken aside

  4. in same pan over medium heat, cook garlic and ginger for one minute

  5. add honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar, bring to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickened slightly

  6. return chicken to the pan and stir until chicken is coated with the sauce on all sides

  7. sprinkle sesame seeds, stir one last time to coat evenly and turn heat off

  8. serve over rice and top with chopped green onions
