Purple Basil Lemonade

It's pink!

Ingredients

  • 4 c water
  • ½ c fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
  • ½ c loosely packed purple basil leaves
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Process the basil, sugar and ¼ cup water in food processor or blender.

  2. Combine remaining water and juice in a bowl. Add sugar mixture; stir until sugar dissolves.

  3. Strain mixture through a sieve into a pitcher; discard solids.

  4. Serve over ice.
