- 4 c water
- ½ c fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
- ½ c loosely packed purple basil leaves
- 6 tbsp sugar
Process the basil, sugar and ¼ cup water in food processor or blender.
Combine remaining water and juice in a bowl. Add sugar mixture; stir until sugar dissolves.
Strain mixture through a sieve into a pitcher; discard solids.
Serve over ice.
