This are a nice soft sugar cookie. Close to, but not exactly like the addicting soft sugar cookies as the grocery store.
Ingredients
- ½ c shortening
- 1 c sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c sifted flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ c milk
- ½ tsp vanilla
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 deg
Grease a cookie sheet.
Cream together shorting and sugar.
Mix in egg.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Alternately mix in dry and wet(milk and vanilla) Add in chocolate chips, if you want.
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 11-14 min. These cookies should be soft, do NOT over bake them.
Take off of cookie sheet immediately.
