Spice Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c crisco
  • 1 c light molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 c all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and crisco.

  2. Add molasses and egg. Mix well.

  3. Sift/mix together flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Add dry ingredients and mix well.

  4. Refrigerate for a couple of hours. (Dough will keep in fridge for up to 2 weeks according to my MIL.)

  5. Preheat oven to 350 deg F

  6. Make into balls the size of a walnut.

  7. Roll in sugar and put on greased cookie sheet about 3 in apart.

  8. Bake for 12 to 15 min.
