- 3 ½ c flour +
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 1/3 c water
Combine ½ the flour, salt, oil, yeast, honey, and water in stand mixer. Blend with machine's paddle.
With machine on slow speed, add flour a little at a time until the mix has become a sticky ball that pulls away from the sides (switch to the dough hook if necessary).
Kneed by hand for 1 min.
Shape dough into a ball, place in a lightly oiled large bowl, and cover with plastic wrap or a damp towel.
Let rise at least 1 ½ hours, until it nearly doubled. Deflate ball, shape it into a flat rectangle. Let rest for 15 min covered.
Cut into think strips. Pull/roll them into sticks. Let rest covered while the oven heat to 450 deg F.
Bake at 450 deg F for about 15 min or until lightly browned.
