Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken or chicken pieces
  • 6-8 cups water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2-3 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 peppercorns
  • 4-6 chopped carrots (and other veggies)
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp basil and oregano
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook whole chicken or chicken pieces in water with bay leaves, celery, onion, and peppercorns

  2. Simmer 1-2 hours and removed chicken and cut into bite sized pieces

  3. Skim off fat

  4. Add carrots and any other vegetables you like

  5. Simmer 30 minutes

  6. Add egg noodles and chicken pieces as desired

  7. Can also add chicken bouillon but then use less salt
