Instructions
Add peeled garlic to food processor and pulse a few times. Then add Onion, Carrot, and Red Bell Pepper to food processor and pulse until finely minced, but not into a paste.
Mix together breadcrumbs, black pepper, cayenne, chili powder, dried basil, dried thyme, and kosher salt in a bowl.
Add ground turkey to a bowl and lightly pull apart with a fork.
Pour vegetable and breadcrumb mixture over the ground turkey.
Whisk together egg and worcestershire, add to turkey mixture, and gently mix together.
Roll into one inch meatballs and place onto a broiler pan.
Note: Wetting one's hands makes rolling meatballs a snap.
Broil meatballs 6 inches from heat source for 6-8 minutes. Turn meatballs and continue to broil for an additional 3-4 minutes or until done.
Heat marinara sauce in a large skillet.
Transfer meatballs into marinara. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes
Assemble sandwiches on a cookie sheet or reuse the broiler pan:
Slice hoagie rolls open
Ladel a small amount of sauce into each roll
Add meatballs
Lay provolone slices over the top of the meatballs
Place back under the broiler for a few minutes to melt cheese and toast rolls.
