Special K Bars


  • 1 c Karo syrup
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c peanut butter
  • 6 c Rice Krispies
  • 1 bag butterscotch chips
  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips


  1. Heat syrup and sugar over medium heat

  2. Stir often and bring to a boil

  3. Remove from heat and add peanut butter

  4. Stir well

  5. Quickly pour mixture over Rice Krispies and mix well

  6. Transfer mixture to a greased 9x13 pan

  7. Gently press down evenly with a spatula

  8. Heat chips on stove or in microwave (30 second increments and stir)

  9. Pour melted chips on the Rice Krispie mixture

  10. Put an Fridge to set melted chips

  11. Thaw for 30 minutes before cutting
