Garlic Cheddar Biscuits (Just Like Red Lobster)

cheesy garlicy buttery goodness in a biscuit.


  • 2 c flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1/3 c shortening (or butter or margarine)
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 c cheddar cheese
  • 1 clove garlic OR 1 teaspoon garlic powder/salt ~This can depend also on how much garlic you want to taste.
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder


  1. Set oven to 450.

  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry knife (or a fork like I generally do) cut in the shortening. After the shortening is mixed in (looks like little peas) pour in all the milk at once and mix. Add in cheese and garlic.

  3. Drop mounds of batter on cooking sheet using teaspoon about an inch apart. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. Soften butter till almost melted. Mix butter and garlic powder. Brush on biscuits after you take them out.
