Golden Pumpkin Bread

A yummy fall/winter bread. It makes the whole house smell wonderful

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c canned pumpkin (or mashed cooked pumpkin)
  • ½ c Butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 deg F. (Be careful to not have it to high. It can burn).

  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping the bowl often, until well mixed (2 to 3 min).

  3. Spoon into a greased 9X5 cake pan (or three greased 5X3 in mini loaf pans). Bake for 45 to 55 min (or 30 to 35 min if using mini pans). Until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
