Overnight Apple French Toast

A family favorite!!!!

Ingredients

Mix in small sauce pan and cook until thick. Pour into 9" x 13" pan:

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 T. cornstarch
  • 1 T. water

Arrange on top of sauce:

  • 2 large apples, slice 1/4" thick

Mix together in flat-bottomed dish:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Dip each slice into egg mixture until soaked and place over apples:

  • About 9 slices bread

Sprinkle over bread:

  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • tsp. cloves

Instructions

  1. Cover and put in refrigerator overnight. (Or can bake it immediately)

  2. Bake: 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes, uncovered.

  3. Invert each slice as you serve it so apples will be on the top. Can use syrup if desired.
