Banana Nut Bread

The recipe I grew up on as a kid!

Ingredients

  • 3 large bananas, mashed
  • 1 ½ c sugar
  • ½ c vegan shortening
  • Egg Replacer equal to 2 eggs
  • 6 tbsp sour milk (non-dairy)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 c flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ c nuts, chopped or ground
  • ½ c chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix bananas, sugar & shortening together, & add Egg Replacer eggs & milk. Sift dry ingredients together & add to the above. Add nuts & chocolate chips last. Bake in 2 greased loaf pans at 350°F for 45 minutes, or bake in washed & greased vegetable or soup cans filled 2/3 full for about 30 minutes.
