Ginger Ale For Pain And Inflammation

Great for muscle/joint pain, inflammation and nausea. Ginger has so many healing properties!


  • 675ml (3 C) purified water, divided
  • 200g (1 C) ginger, peeled and finely chopped
  • 225g (1 C) sugar
  • 115ml (1/2 C) club soda (per glass)
  • A few drops lime juice
  • Lime slices, for garnish


  1. Boil 2 C water in a saucepan. Add the ginger, reduce the heat to medium-low, and leave the ginger simmer for 5 minutes. Then, remove the saucepan from the heat and leave for 20 minutes. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the liquid and remove the ginger pieces.

  2. In another saucepan, make the simple syrup by dissolving 1 C sugar into 1 C boiling water.

  3. Now mix ½ C ginger water with 1/3 C simple syrup and ½ C club soda. Sweeten with honey to taste; you can also add some lime juice to taste.
