Mason Jar Vega Cookie Mix

A great gift idea!


Dry Mix:

  • 1 c all-purpose gluten-free flour
  • ½ c gluten-free oats
  • 1 serving Vanilla Vega Essentials
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 c brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp ground chia seed
  • 1 tsp ground espresso or instant coffee (or cinnamon!)
  • 1 ½ c chocolate chips

Wet Mix:

  • ¾ c vegan butter
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Mason Jar Directions:

  1. Sift flour with baking soda, baking powder and Vega Essentials.

  2. In a one-quart Mason jar, layer sifted flour mix, oats, chia seeds, espresso and brown sugar.

  3. Top with chocolate chips.

  4. Seal Mason jar and decorate with festive ribbon and a personalized label.

Cookie Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Cream vegan butter, water, and vanilla together.

  3. Add Mason jar ingredients to butter mixture.

  4. Mix until combined.

  5. Shape dough into balls and drop on ungreased baking sheet.

  6. Cook until golden brown, approximately 9-11 minutes.

  7. Cool for 2 minutes then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
