Teriyaki Tofu Marinade


  • 2 lbs local tofu
  • ¼ c soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey, sugar or agave
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13" baking dish. Slice tofu ⅜" thick and line up in baking dish. Bake 15 minutes, then flip pieces and bake another 15 minutes. This prebaking will turn the tofu slightly golden and give it a firmer texture. Remove tofu from oven.

  2. Mix remaining marinade ingredients and pour evenly over the prebaked slices. Return to oven and heat through, 10-15 minutes.

  3. Delicious served hot with rice, also great for cold sandwiches.
