- 150g (5.3 oz) dairy free margarine
- 150g (5.3 oz) brown sugar
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp vanilla paste (or extract)
- 250g (8.8 oz) all purpose flour (half whole wheat flour would work as well)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 c chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (about 350 degrees F).
Cream the margarine and sugar together.
Stir in the maple syrup and vanilla paste.
Add the walnuts, sifted flour and baking powder and mix well (you may need to use your hands).
Bake on a greased cookie tray for 10 – 15 minutes. Leave the cookies to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the tray.
