Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

This is my favorite everyday pizza dough


  • 1 ¼ c water
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ½ c all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ c whole wheat flour
  • Basil to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • onion powder to taste
  • 1 tsp rapid rise yeast (or 2 1/4 tsp regular dry yeast)


  1. I put everything in my bread machine and run it on the dough cycle, but I used to do it with my stand mixer. If using stand mixer, combine half the flour and all the other ingredients, mix, slowly adding the rest of the flour until a sticky dough ball forms. Let rise for an hour or so.

  2. Divide into 2 balls, and let rise at least a half hour.

  3. Roll/shape.

  4. Top.

  5. Bake in oven. I do it at 425 deg F for 11 min
