A moist, but heavy bread. Great toasted!
- 3 3/4 c. fresh ground flour
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. baking soda
- 1 - 2 T. honey
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Combine dry ingredients.
Add honey and buttermilk and knead slightly.
Shape into a round about 1 ½ inches thick.
Slash X across the top.
Bake on greased cookie sheet or pie pan at 375 until done (about 45 minutes)
